API rate limits

Default request limits, the Retry-After header, and how to request an increase.

The provisioning and management API is rate-limited per API token. The default is 60 requests per minute.

When you exceed the limit the API returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header telling you how many seconds to wait. Well-behaved clients should honour that header and back off exponentially.

High-volume integrators can request a higher limit (up to 240 req/min on standard plans) by opening a ticket with the Support department. Include your token's label and the burst pattern you expect.
